About the Course
This course aims to ensure a standardised level of knowledge in relation to all aspects of child safety in vehicles. It is ideal for those with the responsibility of fitting or giving advice around child restraints, particularly within the retail, public and voluntary sectors.
It covers the overarching laws and regulations surrounding child car seats, considers features within vehicles which can impact the safe use of a child seat and explores the importance of using the correct seat at each developmental stage of a child's growth.
Using a range of learning styles, delegates will also get the opportunity for a hands-on practical session in order to further explore the wide range of car seats and their different features.
Is it right for me?
The course will help each delegate with:

A practical knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and responsibilities of employer and employee engaged in all aspect of transporting children

An understanding as to why children require different child restraints at different times in their development and what the legal requirements are for designing and using car seats

Information on how to offer best practices solutions to providing child in car safety advice
What is involved?
A one day course that contains 5 assessed modules to ensure you have a higher level of insight in the following categories:

The Customer
On completion of the course, you will receive a certificate from IOSH. The certification lasts for three years and needs renewing within two months of expiry.
You will also recieve 7 CPD points.
