The course will help each delegate with:

A practical knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and responsibilities of employer and employee engaged in all aspect of transporting children

An understanding as to why children require different child restraints at different times in their development and what the legal requirements are for designing and using car seats
-
Information on how to offer best practices solutions to providing child in car safety advice
What is involved?
Each delegate must complete 3 modules:(2 Mandatory and 1 Optional)
Mandatory Modules:

The Law – ECE safety standard legislation, Road Traffic Law, Health and Safety standards and workplace audits

The Vehicle – Ergonomics of vehicles and how they incorporate child restraint
Optional Modules: (Delegates choose 1 of the following 3 modules)

The Child – Overview of the physical development of children from birth to twelve years old and their relationship with child car seats

Early Years – Infant safety and the physical development of infants from birth to two years old and their relationship with child car seats

Special Needs Seating – Transporting children with specific additional needs
